I am writing a farewell piece for your dad at my travelgolf website. Your dad’s kindness to me will not be forgotten. I hope you like the piece. I will say more prayers for you and for the family.

I passed the movie meme that he tagged you with to Mike, and he was so sweet to take part. I loved reading his site every day - and still can’t fathom that he has gone from you and us so very young.
If there is anything you need - send a note…

Jay and Barb, thanks so much for good thoughts. I should probably point out that in the literal sense of things, Mike was not my dad, but my wife’s stepfather. Still, we saw a lot of him these past few years, living just a few hours away, and of course were in touch online very frequently. So while I have a wonderful father of my own, I count myself immeasurably lucky to have had Mike in my life, and he undoubtedly was a kind of father figure as well.
Thanks again for your kind condolences.

May I express my condolences on the loss of your father-in-law. I will miss terribly the exchange of opinions he and I had
